Like you all, I was ecstatic about the election. Not only do I think Barak Obama is exactly what we need right now, but I also love his ears, they make him cute. I was made aware both this and last year that if teenagers were aloud to vote, they would do so based on how the candidate looked. I can't tell you how many times I heard comments like, "Look at his nose!" or "Why would he get a haircut like that." Thank god teenagers don't vote. On a dismal note. My sister has worked for a boys group home for the past 7 yrs. The home houses boys who were incercarted but are on the last part of their sentence and ready to go out into the world again. My sister counseled them, helped them get back into school, get jobs, ect. Yesterday she found out she was loosing her job and that the home was closing due to lack of funding. Why is it that the people doing good always seem to suffer?
Hopefully with Obama in office, these things won't happen any more.

I did cry last night, big fat, democratic, bleeding heart liberal, tears. I have never been so excited for change.
